We aim to raise awareness about the water quality effects of dumping down your storm drain. We hope you find the public service announcement [featured above] that has been airing on local TV stations to be funny, yet very eye opening. Did you know that everything you and your neighbors put in nearby storm drains will end up in the rivers we recreate in and will potentially end up in our drinking water? Chemicals used in roofing materials, motor oil, brake fluid, and antifreeze can run off from driveways, streets and parking lots into a storm drain that leads directly into a creek or river. Do your part to prevent pollution- spread the word: dump only rain down the storm drain. Together, we can all keep our waters clean.
